You must give your name and contact information for opinions to be considered.  We are not using a formal blog/comment or forum structure, which might be easier, but risks hacking, which we have already suffered in an earlier version of the site.

Opinions about the SAA Principles of Archaeological Ethics and Collaboration with Descendent Communities

“This volume [Ethics in American Archaeology], while representing the next step in a sequence of expanding consideration of the important and complex issues outlined herein, does not mark the end of a process. It is not a final product.” —Bruce Smith, SAA President 1995

We invite you to offer opinions about how you think the Society for American Archaeology should respond to the open letter, or more generally, your thoughts about how archaeological ethics should be related to collaboration with descendent communities. The most recently offered comments will be posted at the top of the comments. If you wish to comment on another persons ideas, please reference that person by name and the date of their comment.
